Parking in the Harvard Square area

Parking is difficult but not impossible in the area of Harvard Law School. Since the conference is on a Saturday it might be a little easier than on weekdays.

The first place to look is on the east side of Massachusetts Avenue in front of the law school. Map.

If no spots are available there, continue a few blocks north (look for spots of course) then make a u-turn and come back towards the Cambridge Commons, and make a right on Garden Street and go around the commons a few times. Most of the public parking is with 1 and 2 hour meters. You probably want to stick to the 2 hour meters (so you can visit the meters on breaks, bring quarters).

If you're willing to spend $20-$30 to park for the day, there are three good parking garages in Harvard Square, 1. Charles Hotel, 2. Church Street (across from the Border Cafe, next to Starbuck's) and 3. The public parking structure across the street from the Kennedy School. Any of these are a bit of a walk to the law school campus, but at least you don't have to worry about feeding meters and tickets.

Other ideas for parking are most welcome.

New Howto: BloggerCon for Newbies

BloggerCon is an unusual conference. We don't have speakers, slide shows or panels.

No panels, no PowerPoints, no speakers.

We do have sessions, and each session has a discussion leader.

Topics

Here are some of the topics the Howto covers.

The discussion leader.

How to prepare.

On the record.

It's a user's conference.

No commercials.

WiFi, webcast, IRC.

Other topics may be added. If you have questions, comments or suggestions, please post them here.
