It's almost magic time!

I'm back at the hotel to chill out before the 7PM dinner at Ming's. I can send email again. That's a relief. Basically my job is almost done. I feel like an engineer who's put together a ship, loaded it up with passengers and a crew, and I'm going to launch it on a journey and see where it ends up. That's what it feels like being the chairman of a BloggerCon.

Tomorrow at this time we'll be doing the Fat Man Sings session, where I sing (of course) badly (ditto) and then we talk about what we got from the conference, and what we want to do differently next time, wherever and whenever that may be. Between then and now a lot of things will work badly, but if we're lucky, no one will notice, they'll just see the lovely facilities that Stanford has provided, and the even lovelier students who are assisting the discussion leaders. They will eat sandwiches and salad provided by our generous sponsors, drink bottled water and Diet Coke, eat cookies and brownies, and learn and share, and teach and enjoy each other's company. If the past is a predictor, someone may even fall in love with the person they will marry. Since it's a blogger's convention, you can expect to read much about it on many blogs.

That's about all for now. Looking forward to seeing your happy faces tonight and tomorrow, and building some great new friendships and memories.

Namaste y'all!
