Newspapers with background info on reporters?

On the mail list for tomorrow's conference, David Weinberger poses a series of questions.

Are there papers that have a home page for each editor and reporter? The sort of page I'm thinking of would, at a minimum, contain some  biographical info and a dynamically-updated list of all the stories they've worked on. Presumably, each byline would be linked to the reporter's home page.

Why isn't that a normal part of a newspaper's web site? Is it because it would be a tacit admission that the reporter's point of view is relevant? Because it'd look too much like treating reporters like celebrities? Both? Neither?

These are excellent questions! If you can provide examples, please do...
