BloggerCon II Weblog - Celebrating the art and science of weblogs, April 17 at Harvard Law School.

Cluetrain 2003 - The 2nd Superpower

This is a description of a session for BloggerCon, Day 1.

Walden PondAccording to the Cluetrain Manifesto, markets are conversations, but so are weblogs and radio call-in shows. The Second Superpower, as described by Jim Moore, seems somehow related to the Cluetrain and weblogs. Chris Lydon, founding host of NPR's The Connection envisions a radio call-out show with a cast of bloggers as its characters. The issues that swirl around the blogs coalesce once a day, in Lydon's vision, into a broadcast radio show. Politics, education, journalism -- perhaps thinking itself -- are all molded in new ways by weblog technology. This session, a live radio show with leaders in each of these areas, proposes to slice and dice the new media, and put it back together with goosebump-level clarity.

Moderator: Christopher Lydon.
